MIFNA’s 2^nd annual Family Fun Raising Day

The Family Day held on June 19 at Irvine Regional Park, Orange was a fun and successful event.  Approximately 200 members and friends of MIFNA attended the event.  There were all sorts of games, cooking and drawing competitions, auction of one MAS air ticket and lots of food, drinks and snacks.  We also celebrated the accomplishment of our 2010 graduates (college and high school) with an amazing chocolate cake donated by MSD director, Puan Yati.

Congratulations to our cooking competition winners; Suzyana Salleh from Victorville, in the nasi goreng category for her Nasi Goreng Seafood (click for recipe) and Elaine Empleo from San Diego, in the bingka category for her Durian Bibingka (click for recipe).

MIFNA was able to raise over $3000 from the event and made a clean profit of over $1600.  Thank you to all our members, sponsors and friends for your generous contribution.  All of you helped us meet our main objectives for the event; to have fun and raise some money for MIFNA.

New Vice Consul of Consulate General of Malaysia ~ Investment Section, Los Angeles

Rosedalina binti Ramlan has just been appointed as the new Assistant Director of Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) in Los Angeles. Rosedalina is accompanied by her husband, Sheikh Muzafar Shahrizan bin Mustafa, daughters, Syaza Amira Syafanah and Syaza Eliya Syafirah, and her mother, Rosenah binti Abdul Razak. Congratulations and welcome to Los Angeles!
